Care & Comfort Assists the WMCA’s Heating Assistance Program
Wilton, ME – Care & Comfort and the employees of their Wilton office are pleased to announce that once again the proceeds from their annual Jean Day Fundraiser have been presented to the Western Maine Community Action Fuel Assistance Program. “For over 20 years our company and employees have been committed to helping our neighbors” says Susan D. Giguere, CEO and Founder of Care & Comfort. She added, “Winter is a particularly difficult time of year for families trying to make ends meet. The WMCA struggles everyday to assist those with financial hardships who are making the choice between eating and heating their homes. Our employees chose the Fuel Assistance Fund as this year’s recipient to help them meet this challenge in a time of rising fuel costs and reduced funding aid.”
Jean Day, launched over 10 years ago, is a collaborative fundraiser between Care & Comfort and its employees. For a $2.00 donation on Fridays the staff can leave their normal work attire at home and wear jeans. The company matches every dollar raised and at the end of the year the employees select the recipients.
