 Care & Comfort Names Lori Chamberlain HR Director

Care & Comfort, a leading provider of Home Healthcare and Behavioral Healthcare services in Maine recently announced the appointment of Lori Chamberlain to the position of Director of Human Resources.

"Lori brings with her a wealth of HR knowledge and experience from both the for-profit and nonprofit worlds, most recently with a 700-employee social services agency providing an array of services throughout Massachusetts," says Care & Comfort’s COO, Mike Stair. “With more than 20 years of experience as a Human Resources Leader, she will be a great addition to our team.”
In her most recent role, Chamberlain was Sr. Director, Human Resources with the South Middlesex Opportunity Council, Inc., an agency which provides assistance to low-income and disadvantaged individuals and families. Behavioral healthcare is one program offered by SMOC, with clinical services provided in residential, clinical, or home settings. She was with the organization for seven years.
Before joining SMOC, she was Vice President, Human Resources with iParty, Corp. a multi-channel retailer specializing in the sale of party supplies which at the time employed over 900 employees in 7 states.  
Chamberlain, a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London New Hampshire, remarked "In just the short period I''ve been with Care & Comfort, I’ve met or talked with so many wonderful, dedicated and hardworking people that every morning I am excited to walk through the door and start the day. Working in either the field of Home Healthcare or Behavioral Healthcare is tremendously rewarding as we touch the lives of so many daily.”
Care & Comfort is celebrating their 25th anniversary of providing services for individuals, groups, and families throughout 13 Maine counties. Sue Giguere, their Founder and CEO, remarked “We are thrilled to have a professional with the broad range of experience that Lori has overseeing our staff of 600. We look forward to her leadership in our HR Department.”
